thankful for...

As promised I said I would recap my Thanksgiving weekend...

I spent it with my Dad's side of the family in Long Island, where I got to see my cousins, and my grandmother even came in from Florida to celebrate. It was a really nice evening with plenty of delicious food. I was stuffed!

So I suppose this is better late then never... here is a little post about what I am thankful for in my life...

My silly friends {via katinatreesee}

What were you thankful for this Thanksgiving??

I was busy catching up with all my friends and family this weekend but I did manage to squeeze in some time to do work!

Here's a sneak peek at what I'm currently working on!

Can you guess?

{inspired by} oliver hunter

Good afternoon my little bloggies. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had a really great weekend and I hope to share that here later on.

Today I am featuring the young Australian artist Oliver Hunter. I am very much in love with his colorful and imaginative paintings. Such pretty detail! Oliver Hunter is also a writer and musician; you can visit his website to find out more!

Stay tuned!

give a little thanks

Today I made my first treasury on Etsy! It is appropriately Thanksgiving themed.

I handpicked these items that I thought would make the perfect gift, festive decorations or just cozy little things to have.

little miss grumpypants

via weheartit
This morning I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I'm just not a happy camper.

Maybe it's because it's Monday.

Maybe it's because I'm terribly exhausted and coffee is not helping.

Maybe it's because I'm stressed out and overwhelmed.

I just want to be that lady in the picture above! So pretty and peaceful...

On a better note, I had a really nice weekend. How was yours?

Un énorme cœur, des paysages secrets, quelques prairies flottantes…
{An enormous heart, secret landscapes, some floating meadows...}

I am truly inspired by Parisian artist Emilie Faïf. Her work is a beautiful collaboration of so many things I love; floral patterns, nature, cities and soft textures... There is something about incorporating fabrics into art makes me so happy!

Check out Emilie's website to see more of her amazing work!

Are you as inspired as I am?

jill bliss & 20x200

I happened upon a neat website called 20x200.com through Twitter {see, Twitter can be useful!}

20x200 is a website for artists to sell their prints. The website 20x200 first began as a gallery in the Lower East Side, curated by Jen Bekman. Since then it has grown tremendously, using the simple formula of: (limited editions x low prices) + the internet = art for everyone

While browsing through the site I came across the artist Jill Bliss, whose uses lots of line, color and texture to create her illustrations. Here are two of her illos that I found on 20x200, but she has a ton of them up on her website!

just for fun vlog

I'm not much of a camera person, but after watching Katrina's video blog, and finding it hysterical, I thought it would be funny to make my own and imitate her.

I actually had a lot of fun doing this, I didn't even practice and I'm surprised that I forgot what I was talking about only once! {You can guess which part that was}

Anyways, I had fun being Katrina for 3 minutes, but you should watch her videos to get more of a taste :) I included one of her videos here for comparison too!
