polaroids

There is something so nostalgic about polaroids... It makes me so sad that the film is so rare to find that it sells for at least $20 a pack on Ebay, which comes out to more than $2 per picture. It's crazy. So in the meantime, while IMPOSSIBLE is reinventing the instant photo, I found these awesome polaroids online to share with everyone. Enjoy and reminisce!

Concert Posters

One of the reasons I was so busy this week was because I was making these posters for a show coming up in April at SUNY Oneonta. They are both hand drawn and then scanned and colored in Photoshop. (Also, I forgot to draw the leaves on the trees in the bear poster, so I had to copy and paste leaves in from the first poster. There was a layer for each leaf... way too many layers.)

But anyways... I was very inspired by spring when I was drawing these. Also now I know how to draw cute little aminals! I hope you like them :)

Artist Spotlight

Shuxin Liang is an artist and graphic designer from Southern China who now is living in Melbourne. Her style is inspired by the organic and natural world conflicting with the urban environment.

"Materials and textures intrigue me and I have an almost obsessive need to create... I love nature, I like birds and their songs, and I want to use my artworks to express to my audiences not only a sonic experience, but also my own self-identity as a channel by which to encode this sonic resonance."

If I could somehow put my feelings into cohesive sentences, that's almost exactly what I would say about my work too. Her work instantly inspired me, and now I feel that same obsessive compulsion to create something.
